Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

I made cookies this evening! Kent threw out his back yesterday so he's been upstairs all day. I knew these would make him feel better. (and they did)

I adapted a recipe that i'll share with you. :)

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 lb butter softened (2 sticks)
3/4 cup peanut butter (not reduced-fat)
2 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teasoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
2 cups Oatmeal (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)

Prep.
Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, beat sugar, butter, and peanut butter until creamy.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda and salt; mix well
Add oats; mix well

Drop dough by level 1/4 cup portions 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 12 to 14 min or until cookies are slightly firm to the touch (do not overbake) Cool
1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to wire rack. ENJOY!!!!

Maui Christmas

Maui Christmas 2008

New House

This is my very first blog.
Here is a picture of the outside of our new house. We closed escrow on Aug 15, 2008 and moved in over that following week. We have now been here for 5 months. We've had fun decorating and finding spots for our things. Within the first couple of months we replaced some of the flooring that we didn't care for. We now have wood laminate flooring in the entry, kitchen and all 3 bathrooms. We also replaced the white tile and white grout countertops in the kitchen with black granite. I'll post additional pictures.
